Our day started out by attending a spiritual talk at our center here in Kelowna which led us to some deep discussions over a take-out lunch we took up to the cemetery. It’s a beautiful spot with acres and acres of lawn and huge trees and the people there aren’t too noisy.
We then made our way to my sister’s place, an Okanagan lakefront property in Lake Country. We visited there for an hour or so with her showing us her new landscaping and her pictures from her recent three day bike trip which she shared with four other ladies in Nelson country.
When we left there we stopped at Kopje Provincial Park a few miles further down the road, where we browsed through the “Gibson 1912 Heritage House”. They were serving a strawberry tea along with some treats for anyone who had a sweet tooth. Out on the lawn, which is just below the front balcony and in front of the lake, there were three or four women in long dresses sitting in chairs chatting and quilting away. A young lady stood on the front veranda and played the violin serenading everyone who had stopped in to take a step back in time by visiting the house and mingling around the grounds.
After our visit there we meandered through all the back roads to Armstrong where we met with 3 friends from when we lived there. Then all of us drove to Enderby to chat over supper at the Howard Johnson hotel and from there we made our way to the river’s edge where we listened to the live music under from 7:30 to 9:30. We were lucky, as just before 7:00 the sky had opened up and let down a huge downpour. The threatening skies kept a lot of the usual crowd away but some of us brave souls, along with someone's pet macaw, went anyway, and it was well worth the time and donation of money.

I stole your photo of the lake for my desktop wallpaper. Beautiful!
An old boyfriend of mine lives near Grindrod with his wife; they are musicians and probably perform a lot in the Enderby area. I'm not sure whether Nadeen goes by his last name or not, but his is Jeff Person.
It's not a lake - it's the Shuswap river - and, yes, it's a beautiful picture isn't it. In fact I'll use it on my comptuer too. I'll keep an eye out for some of Jeff's performances.
Beautiful sunsets. No two alike with spiritual mysteries yet to be discovered. To be wrapped in the colors of a sunset is a dream of mine.
