Staying On Top

What’s that on top my kitchen cupboard? Why Pumpkin of course. I was looking all over for her this morning and where do I find her? Perched on top the cupboard snuggled up in my serving tray. Cat anyone?

The sun is out. Yippee! There’s nothing like some sunshine and a good a quiet kind of writing/journaling/drawing morning to start my day. This visual journaling has really caught on fire with me. It’s certainly not new for me. I’ve been using it periodically here and there but I’ve immersed myself in it lately and it seems to be paying off. It’s always so rewarding when results start coming through.

I’ve got a lot of writing ahead of me to catch up to. My writing buddy has sped up ahead of me while I’ve been busy with Easter our company and my own personal journaling writing work. We’re following a book and working on some short memoir writing stuff together. I love it. Love the commitment and being in for the ride of poking, prodding and persevering to see what comes up on the page. Blows my mind sometimes.

Along with that I’m working on getting my newsletter ready to send out this week sometimes. Man, that thing, although it doesn’t seem like much, can be a lot of work. It’s disappointing that not everyone who receives it actually opens and reads it but then people’s time is so precious and limited these days – that part I understand. The more time saving gadgets we have in our life the less time we have. Distractions are as abundant as a fresh crop of dandelions spreading their seed.

Oh well, I’m not going to let that stop me. I’m just going to keep stepping forward with the knowing that it’s what I need to do. Yep, I’m staying on top of things. The cat’s in the bag, (uh, tray) and I’m off to the races.

A writing I will go.....a writing I will go......, la, la, la..........

Hahaha that's funny! The cat in the serving tray that is. And the rest sounds great...like you're really into the visual journaling. That's awesome!

Cats here! Cats there! Cats everywhere! They truly will find some odd places to sleep. I doubt the human brain would even begin to think of such places. At least not mine anyway!
You sound in good spirits. Bright and cheery on your sunny day! The changing season seems to have brought new life your way.
Would love to read some local happenings. Do they mail out their news letter?
