Tree Hopping and Hugging

It was a cool, rainy day here in the Okanagan. It was around 15 Celsius or 60 Fahrenheit. So not all that bad I suppose. It feels kind of gloomy when the skies are dark and hanging so close over my head. So we took the bull by the horns and did something about it. We got out of our jammies, got dressed and headed downtown to the service and listened to a very inspiring talk.

Then we got in the car and headed down to a side road out in Lake Country where I plucked a bag full of apples from a tree that grows outside of the farmer’s fenced yard. I discovered that tree about three years ago and I return to it every year to gather a bag full of the most delicious apples I’ve ever tasted. After that we headed out for a trip to Lumby and Cherryville country which is 14 miles further down the road. Cherryville is a unique little community in the foothills of the Monashee Mountains.

If you can’t find the sun at home a trip out in nature with a little tree hopping and hugging is all one needs to restore one’s spirits. It was a lot of fun until some dumb ass hunter starting shooting at hell knows what. We did get a few good shots of our own (with the camera) before we high tailed it out of there since we were all dressed in black. Not a good idea when walking around in the bush and there's hunters out and about.

There can never be too many trees to hug! You were each looking good out there until shots were fired. (;-(
Jacket weather in BC is looking good. Not a bad Beaver Dam either. I was in awe of the size of those changing leaves.
Thank you for taking us along on your Sunday outing.
Blessings

Wow, I can imagine the adrenalin rush when you heard those shots being fired. Such beautiful forest and the beaver dam is wonderful. A lovely day for sure.
