Slow Progress & Door Prizes

I was a bit disappointed yesterday when I went to Weight Watchers and discovered I had only lost ½ a pound. Darn! I was hoping more than that would have disappeared wherever it is pounds go to when they disappear. Someone asked me if I had lost any and when I mentioned I did but not what I was hoping for, they told me the exact same thing happened to them in week two or three so that made me feel a little better. That’s when I decided I’d look at it from another angle. If I add the ½ lb. to what I I’ve lost in the first two weeks it brings it to a grand total of 7 pounds. When I think of it that way it sounds a lot better. In any case, I’m further ahead than when I started. Right?

Ah, and there’s more blessings to add to the day already. Here I am sitting at my computer writing on my blog and Mr. Canpar, the delivery man, appears at my door with a brown package tucked under his arm. Books! I think. But wait a minute. I’m a bit confused. The parcel doesn’t look big enough to hold five books. I sign on the dotted line, send him on his way and take the box to my desk. I rip it open and find out two of the books have been back-ordered and are to follow later. But that’s okay. Look what I’ve got to start with. Three books and all about writing! Could there be a better way to start the weekend?

1/2 lb. lost is better than one gained! Weight loss does slow down until you find an even keel. Keep up the good work
So glad your books arrived with more to come. Knowing you it's going to be tough absorbing them in bits and pieces.
I am the same about new anything books included.

Thanks for dropping by you guys. Writers' tips? You just might have to join a bunch of us gals at the Spring retreat Phillis is talking about Kate. It would be a blast to have you join us. Yes, 1/2 pound off is better than adding some on for sure. I'll keep working at it.
