Fraud Update


I spent my whole morning between the bank and the RCMP station. I filled out forms and answered questions. The news is not good. The bank people are basically saying it’s my fault for opening the email. Don’t worry I’ve already been banging myself on the head about that one.

The lady I was dealing with was caring enough. When I asked what my options were she suggested I speak to the branch manager about a line of credit. I agreed. She went off to speak to her and came back a few minutes later. “Sorry,” she said. “Basically are hands are tied.” The manager wouldn’t even speak with me - which pretty much says it all.

I was afraid the bank might say that.
However, don't give up yet. There may be someone more sympathetic at the bank if you appeal their decision somehow.
