Love Is In the Air
We are leaving this morning to make our way to Pemberton to attend the wedding of my daughter, Brenda. After this weekend all three of my girls will be married and all three of them to wonderful young men who I have had no problem welcoming into our family. As I set out to do my last “mother of the bride” speech I realize that attending my baby’s wedding is another leg of my journey, sort of like turning the page on one of the main chapters of my life. It felt that way when I left Brenda on the doorstep of her new apartment when she finished school and left the farm to begin her life in a new city. I cried then. I’ll probably cry on Saturday too. They are not sad tears. They are tears full of stories, memories, hopes and dreams of what was, what is and what will be.
Weddings are wonderful opportunities to be immersed in an expression of love. I was considering the concept of love this morning and how abundant it is if we open ourselves up to it - if we open our arms and welcome it into our life. And I was thinking how when we remove the shields from around our hearts by peeling away the doubts and fears and regrets that hold back it’s spirit and it’s natural flow of energy, then we become free to love and give love. If we could learn to always come from a place where love flows freely from our hearts and we could learn to give it away without thought of how much will come back to us in return we would be graced with even more of it in our life. The more you give the more it multiplies.

Your words on love have made me cry; they've also lifted my spirits and made my heart sing.
