For Now

Excuse the language, but Murphy’s an asshole! Another day you might be able to convince me otherwise but today I’m convinced he’s an asshole and that’s all there is to it.

I went to see the condo by the creek yesterday. Of course Murphy’s Law would have it that the guy decides to sell after we’ve wrapped our head around having to leave the Armstrong and Vernon area and we are almost ready to close on a deal in Kelowna. You gotta wonder about this Murphy guy sometimes. Who the hell does he work for?

The place was beautiful. Just like I imagined it would be. But, of course, so was the price tag the guy attached to the place after all the renovations he did. And as much as I would have loved to live there, not so much for the condo but more for the peacefulness outside and the opportunity to live creek side, I couldn’t justify it. Ah, crap who am I kidding! Had I had that kind of money sitting in my bank account I probably would have bought the place.

However, we are getting closer to actually closing on another deal. Today I have an appointment with some bank loan officer of some sorts. Gawd! I hate that part. It’s never been my forte to do the number crunching thing. I’d much rather do all the other stuff that comes before the nitty gritty details. Although, I have to admit, when it comes right down to it, the finances are a pretty important detail.

In any case, enough said, for now. If all goes well, soon I should be able to quit dodging people who have nothing but good intentions in mind when they ask. “Have you found a home yet?” I’ll just leave it at that, for now.
