From Where I Stand

There’s a great big chunk of good news I’ve been hanging on to. Do you know how hard it is to jump over the moon and not make any noise about it?

Maybe it’s an indication of being where I’m supposed to be. Maybe it’s a combination of trusting the Universe and staying focused on my “Next Step” list. Maybe it’s a spoonful of hard work mixed in with a couple of spoonfuls of experience and a lot of helpful people along the way. More than likely it’s a combination of all of this plus a few more ingredients which are making things fall into place like dominos.

The big news is - I DON’T have to do a two year internship! That’s what I said. Don’t have to! Why? Because I compiled a smorgasbord of information consisting of my previous trainings, courses and experiences from my ten years of working in an agency doing counselling and workshops. That plus the fact that I was checking in with a counsellor at the time, to debrief or to get some feedback on how I was doing and the fact that she was willing to write me a reference letter, and voila! I don’t have to do an internship!

What does all this mean? It means I can use the letters RPC after my name without having to add (Candidate) for a two year period. It also means I don’t have to report to another counsellor every month to go over how I am doing and to fill in numerous forms. Plus it means I don’t have to pay for this person to follow me through this two year term. From where I stand at my end of things, that’s a whole lot to be cheering about.

What SUPER news Annette!!
I think you're right about a combination of a lot of things that are making things fall into place for you. I'll bet you didn't think that all your years of previous training and experiences would lead to this one day.
Cheering here too....love, pat

What fantastic news!! NOW all those people who are waiting for a compassionate, understanding, talented counselor ... one that they will feel like they've known all their lives ... one who really cares about them ... can sit down and talk with you. Congratulations, my dear friend, from one who has been privileged to experience all that you give.
Love,
Paula
