Sitting in Gratitude

Phew, can’t believe I haven’t been here in almost a week now. The days have just flown by. But here I am poking my head out from under the books and coming out smiling. My project is done! Yesterday I walked into the college registrar’s office, (she is the one who marks the thesis and final projects) and I deposited my 25 page document on “Writing As a Therapeutic Tool” all neatly clipped into a presentation folder on her desk, four days ahead of schedule I might add, and done without the mysterious text book which never made it to my door.

It feels like a million bucks to have this project completed and handed in. Now comes the next step - the last step - the 80 question final exam that I picked up yesterday. I will be heading into that as soon as I can and I suspect it will feel like another million bucks when I hand in that baby and get to shout – I’m done!

Baby steps. That’s what I have to keep telling myself about this exam. I have to look at breaking it down instead of looking at the whole ball of wax. I have two weeks to complete this and hand it in so I’m thinking if I tackle about eight questions a day, in ten days I will be done and that will leave me with a few days to play with in case something happens one day and I can’t work at it.

Now here’s another something which lifted my spirits and warmed my heart. There are angels in this world. One of them sent me a card in the mail. On the card it said “Words” and inside the card it said, “Please, no words necessary for this gift”. My eyes filled with tears and my heart swelled. There was nothing to say but to sit in gratitude. This will allow me to register for the counsellor’s conference which is being held in Vernon and which I was so hoping to attend and it will help me with the cost of my first Canyon University course. How much better can it get!

I’m off to Kelowna again today. Meeting with a client, and what seems like an armful of errands and things to look after. But it’s shaping up to be a nice day. The sun is shinning, the crocuses are out, the grass is getting green, and, woohoo, my project is done!

WOW! Yahoo! I'm clicking my heels (or, at least banging my sticks together) in celebration with your completing your project. I knew you could do it! It is done because you wrote about what you know so, so well. You are an intelligent woman. I'm thankful that the Universe provided what you needed to do. Kinda of lets you know you are on the right (or is it write?) ;-)path. Good Luck on your final. Hugs, Linda
