An Open Letter To. . . .

The Creator

Wow! What a beautiful winter wonderland you’ve laid out for us this morning. Old Maple in the back and Weeping Willow in the front are wearing their snowsuits and wearing them proudly. It’s as if they’ve officially claimed their time of rest.

I’m going to be off to school early this morning as the roads might not be all that great to travel on. Yesterday, I heard, was a disaster for travelers as they tried to navigate through the highways. There were cars in ditches everywhere.

So I’ll be leaving earlier than usual but one thing for sure, it’s not going to be before we head out with our shovels to dig our way out of our front door and drive. It’s a good thing we went out twice yesterday to clear the snow otherwise we wouldn’t even be able to push it this morning.

I just can’t get over the quick change. Just a couple of days ago we were sitting at our kitchen table, looking out and commenting on how the weeds were growing and the fields were getting greener. Then whamo! Here comes a full blown winter! I just wanted to drop you a letter and say thank you for the beauty before our eyes. Now off to shovel.

Writefully Yours
Annette

It is a sight to behold Annette! I love it. We shoveled twice yesterday too and I was out at 7:30 this morning shoveling again. It was cold at first, but I warmed up in no time and then I really enjoyed it. Even made a snow angel!

love always,
Phillis

How beautiful!! Having sat on that swing and laid under that maple, I feel like I'm right there, leaving footprints in the snow! Thank you, Annette, for sharing pictures of your world.
