Today was my first such date for this week and one of my fellow writers joined me. We went to write a coffee shop called Picasso’s. It’s a quaint little place with some benches to sit by the window, some tables tucked into the corners or comfy couches and arms chairs strategically placed here and there in the room. The walls are decorated with various Picasso prints (like the one above) which I absolutely love. There’s always some soft music playing in the background and the aromas of fresh brewed steaming hot coffees and teas.
I like this coffee shop as a writing spot because it’s not too far from home and just the name and the feel of the place seems to invite creativity. My friend and I both got there about the same time, we exchanged a few words, looked around, picked the arm chairs to get comfortable in and snuggle into, got our drinks, pulled out our journals and pens and settled down to write for the appointed hour. One of the many things to add to my gratitude journal today.

I've always loved writing in coffee shops; something about the full buzz of a place helps a gal focus.
Can't do it here, though; too many people will stop to talk. Can't be invisible or anonymous.
