Writing, Dreaming & Speaking

I posted a writing date schedule to fellow writers this morning. I was late sending it out so no one joined me for this first one, but I have another one scheduled for tomorrow at the same time, only in a different place. Nothing on Wednesday, but another hour booked for both Thursday and Friday.

Here’s a piece of conversation from my morning journal. “Hi Oprah. Thanks for taking my call. My name is Annette. I’m calling from Canada. I was wondering if you would have a minute, or maybe even a day or two. I know you’re an avid journal writer and it would mean the world to me to have the opportunity to discuss this process with you.” It was a long conversation that led many places. There’s nothing wrong with dreaming is there?

I still don’t have a date with Oprah but tomorrow night I have tickets to spend a few hours with Dr. Wayne Dyer. He is coming to Vernon which is the town 20 minutes or so to the North. I’m looking forward to the evening. I’ve always liked him and his teachings. I’ve read most of his books, listened to a lot of his CD’s and also attended one of his talks at the Jubilee Auditorium in Edmonton many, many years ago. He wasn’t as well known then but he was a powerful speaker just the same. Inspiring talks prime my pump in a good way. They send me back to the page and help me sort out my own words needing to find voice.
