I went on a couple of little road trips lately. Some pretty local stuff - within an hour or two of where I live. While out there I snapped a few pictures which is what prompted me to write about out with the old and in with the new.
It reminded me of the many changes that have taken place in my life over the years. Changes where I had to let go of what was and open myself to the "power of possibility." It's certainly not something that's always easy to do. In fact, sometimes it can be darn right scary.
As I scout around the countryside with the idea of acquiring more work combined with a more peaceful, nurturing setting, I have to keep reminding myself that change is good. Change is growth. It is discovery, newness, movement, life, and that sometimes I have to be willing to walk through the fire to follow where change is leading me and to see what lies on the other side.

Love, love love that old cabin! I can almost see children and chickens running around.
See smoke spiraling from the chimney. Smell corn-bread and beans cooking. Wash on a line blowing on a gentle breeze.
It's all right there just waiting to be told. The graying wood where once a family lived and grew old together.
Wow!
