Wow! What a gorgeous day it's been. Went up to 15C today, which would be 59F. Tomorrow we are suppose to see 18C which is 64F. Woohoo! I think we've finally stepped into spring! We went to the Center for Spiritual Living service for some soul nourishing time this morning and followed that up with some time out in nature. I feel totally blessed. We discovered a new place called Kalamoir park across the bridge over on the West side. It was a piece of heaven. Peaceful, inspiring and fun to explore. It ranged from easy going trails down by the lake to some very challenging ones. I sat by the water's edge and wrote in my journal for a while, read in my new book, explored various trails and no doubt got a good workout. I'm not huffing so much now that I've dropped a few more pounds. Two more bit the dust this week for a total of 18 pounds left on the wayside. I'm getting there.(Dont' forget to double click on the pictures if you want a close up.)

On our way down to the lake - and it was a long and sharp way down.

One of the many trails. One of the flat ones by the water. We were too busy focusing on maintaining our balance on the steep ones.

A natural made birdhouse in one of the trees.

A head sandwich!

The benches are way to high off the ground or Andree's legs are way, way too short.

Stashing our loot to cool it off.

Nature - provides everything - even a natural fridge.

We went by this pub/cafe today. There's a board by the front door that says what their hours are.
The best schedule I've ever seen.

And when we got home, we discovered that Pumpkin and Chance next door have become friends.

Wow!! Beautiful day is right!! I was out all day from 11:00 this morning and just came in. I was building bat houses in the garage, weeding some of my south facing flower gardens, sitting in the sun smiling at the warmth I felt. It was amazing!! I think it got up to about +11 today. Tomorrow will be another great day. Yesterday we went hiking at Clifford E. Lee nature Reserve and it was a beautiful day too. Parents were out with children in strolllers along the boardwalks, the geese were putting on a show, the chickidees and red squirrels were playing in the trees. I am so glad to feel this happy about the weather. It was just too long of a winter. Great pictures. I miss the Okanagan a lot. Can hardly wait to come in May. Thanks for sharing.
love always,
Phillis xoxoxo
