One Week Ends Another Begins

I did it! I got through my first week on Weight Watchers and I’ve lost 3.8 pounds! I’m on my way. This week my challenge will be to incorporate more walking, more exercise into my schedule. It’s not that I detest it, in fact I love it – it’s finding the time and the getting started that’s the clincher. Once I’m out there I love it and I think: “Why don’t I do this every day?” Yet when the next day comes around, the first thing I know, time has slipped by and the day has disappeared.

Right now I’m working on a couple of proposal ideas which is taking up a lot of my time: that plus seeing clients as well as doing some reading and note taking to increase my knowledge base on certain issues that clients are bringing to the circle. I’ve also been helping my sister out with her contract jobs so all-in-all, I’ve been moving around and shaking some ground. Well, sort of.

Look at our friendly visitors who dropped by yesterday to check if they could scrounge anything to eat in the patch of green and dirt that the sunshine revealed. (For a closer few, double click on the picture.)

And the enemy, the magpie who came to chase them away.

Annette, you're so tiny that even a few pounds must make a huge difference in how you appear and how you feel. Congrats, and remember to put your focus on being healthy and fit! - Kate

Congratulations! You can accomplish anything you set your mind to. You have proved this over and over since I have known you.
Keep up the good work and "keep your eye on the prize!"
I loved the birds, especially in close up. Very elegant looking with their feathered crowns! What kind are they?

I love the quails. I remember them in my yard with their little head pieces. I miss the pheasants too. Good for you Annette for getting healthy and losing weight. Even a few pounds makes a big difference. I need to focus on getting some weight off too. Congrats.

Quails! I should have known that. They are very elegant looking as if they belong in a royal courtyard.
Thank you
