Come For a Walk with Me

Yesterday started out to be one of those disappointing, blah kind of days but it ended up being one of the best – a day full of meaning and promise of what can be.

We had planned to leave early to go walk part of the Mission Creek Trail and do a picnic somewhere along the way but when we woke up it was cold and raining and not very nice at all. I was feeling rather let down since I had been looking forward to exploring this new trail we discovered not very far from our place but in retrospect, it was good. It was all good, as George would say.

The morning started when we pulled out our journals and wrote to the sound of the rain, read for a while, shared a philosophical discussion, took care of a few little odds and ends, relaxed in a warm bath, had lunch and by then the rain had let up so we decided to pack up and go.

We no sooner got there that I was already breaking the rules.

And the bears apparently weren’t paying too much attention to signs either.

At least not judging by these prints right beside the bin.

There’s a few of these foot bridges as we meander our way down the trail and cross over the creek at different locations.

There’s nothing like walking in the midst of a forest and taking in all the sights and smells.

And there’s spots for some well deserved rests too.

And there are treasures hiding everywhere if one takes the time to see.

There is lots to learn when out in nature and one of the best things is to allow oneself to just be.

I see that you're one of those girls who, when told NOT to do something, will rush right into doing it anyway!! (Cute photo of you parked on the post!)

This was an amazing walk you took us on! Thank you, I've been missing all of these sights.

Hugs, Paula

It felt as though we were visiting once more. Terrific pictures, including you breaking the rules! Nice touch.
Glad you did not have to share lunch with any bears. I always will call it "God's country" because that is ever so true.
