We Bid Thee Farewell

Well, this is it - our last night at the lake side resort. Bright and early tomorrow morning we will be moving our belongings back to the tin can. Such is the way it is for now. But we won`t be there for long. First of all we both have to leave right after we unload our stuff and second, I trust that within the next couple of weeks everything will have worked itself out and we will not only have a place to live. I will also have a place to work from. So there!

Once we unload our gear at the trailer I will make a quick trip to our storage unit and pick up all the paraphernalia I need to conduct my journal workshop that is starting tomorrow night in Kelowna and running for the next six weeks.

Then I will make my way back to the Lake Country Manor where Mom is and be there for her move to her new room in the new section which is opening tomorrow morning. I don`t think it would go over too well if people just started packing her up without one of us being there to reassure her and tell her what is going on even though we`ve been talking about it to her for a couple of weeks now.

Once that is done and Mom seems to be settled in okay I will drop my honey off at the airport in time for her to catch her flight to Calgary where she will be spending time visiting with her daughter. And here`s the plan Stan. While she is away, I will find us a place to stay.
But for the rest of the evening, I plan to thoroughly enjoy my last few hours here. I will soon sneak into the cool Okanagan Lake and take my last skinny dip under the moonlit skies. Ohh....what a feeling!

Then I will come in and take a shower and appreciate the last opportunity I have of adjusting the water temperature to what I want before returning to the campground and the preset one temperature (cold) shower.

I will follow this with a bowl of popcorn, a Pepsi and my last leisurely use of an internet connection without having to leave what I`m doing or how long it takes me to do it.

And to all this I will add another night in a comfortable bed with the added luxury of having access to a toilet just a few feet away and not having to cover my sleepy naked body with some PJ`s and walking out into the great outdoors to use the facilities. Oh, how I`ve come to appreciate the little things along with the bigger things in life lately.

Good luck Annette. So glad both you & Andree were able to have this mini vacation. I am sure you both appreciated it to the max!
Sure hope & pray your plans all fall into place. I would say "enough is enough!" My goodness how long must you be tested by the Gods above?
I understand about life being an ongoing battle, but this war should be about ready to be over.
Certainly will hold you both close while keeping you in my prayers. Pumpkin included!

Blessings,
Barbara
