Yoohoo! Yoohoo!! Yoohoo!!!

I’ve been keeping it under wraps so far but today I got the news. I have just officially been accepted into the Bachelor of Science in Psychology program at Canyon University in Idaho. Through them I will be completing online studies to obtain my bachelor’s degree. And, here is the best part. After reviewing the pile of documentation I sent in to them they have awarded me 7 of their required courses which means I only have to complete 3 more in order to obtain my degree!

I was keeping it under wraps but I’ve been spending a lot of time and effort gathering my credentials from various studies and courses I’ve taken throughout the years, add my recent year of study and accumulation of my life experiences and Voila! The result is I only have three more courses to do.

Where the money will come from to do these 3 courses which will end up costing around $550 to $600 Canadian is still unknown to me but I’ll have to find a way to make it happen somehow. It would be crazy to have taken it this far and not go take it the rest of the way. I don’t “need” it to go out there and start doing what I love doing, but it certainly isn’t going to hurt. In fact, even though it many ways I believe it shouldn’t, it will give me more credibility when it comes to being recognized in the field.

So the studying is not over yet. I’m not sure how long it will take me to do the three courses but I figure it will be about half a year at the most depending on how heavy the course loads are.

Excuse me while I go do another couple of cartwheels around my computer while I bring my arm down and shout Yes! Yes!

What exciting news!! And a wonderful blessing to only have three classes to take. This is fantastic and I know you'll do great on these classes, too, my friend. The hunger you have for this gives you all the space you need for absorbing it and keeping it and using it. I am SO happy for you!
Hugs, Paula

Jumping up & down for you, well in my mind anyway! You are un-believable to say the least! What determination. Helps mE to believe there is nothing I cannot do either.
Ever so proud and happy for both of you. You make one hell of a pair. Thank God I parked my trolly at your station. xoxoxox Big Hugs!

Chasing you around your computer, mentally doing cartwheels, and jumping up and down, finishing it off with a couple of high fives! Looks like we're in this together kiddo: at the computer, knocking off the classes in psych. We will have to commiserate. I'm so glad you got one where you can do it online. I'm finding it's the way to go. I'm so glad things are falling into place for you. Now all you have to do is get some money (grant? scholarship)??? With your grades you should not have any problem. Then the next thing that has to happen is your house deal go through without a hitch and somehow being able to get your retreat center. I'm pulling for you. Hugs, Linda

Whew! For a minute there, after reading the first line, I thought you were going to say you were moving to Idaho! The kids already think you are too far away and should be moving back here since you sold your house.

Sounds like you won't have much time for leisure reading yet. Maybe you'll decide to catch up to me one day and even go for a Masters - it is much more fun then a Bachelor's degree - because you are allowed and expected to have your own thoughts not just regurgitate information.
