Dreams. That’s what I want to talk about and how important it is to believe in them and to hang on to them. Not just to say, oh it would be nice to someday……………no. That’s not what I mean. I mean having dreams and aspirations of what you want to do someday, of who you want to be, of where you want to go, of what you want for yourself in your heart and in your life. And not just saying it would be nice, I would love that; but really feeling and believing what it would be like and knowing, I’ll repeat that, knowing this will come to be.
I don’t believe you plant seeds in us just for the hell of it. I don’t believe you go around sprinkling thoughts in people that keep repeating themselves time and time again just to aggravate them or tease them with what could be. I don’t believe you throw all these dreams and aspirations out there without having a place for them to land and a way for them to become a reality.
I believe whatever seeds, thoughts, intuitions you place within us they are meant to be released, realized and lived. Only we have to not only believe, but to “know” it will come to be, and to step into it as if it already was. I believe if you give us the dream, then what we have to add and to give is our faith. Otherwise we will die with our dreams still in us and we will have cheated not only ourselves but the world.
Dreams are worth hanging on to. Dreams can happen. Dreams are waiting for us to step into them and take action. Dreams are what we have in our heart if we pay attention to them instead of brushing them away as something silly which will never come to be. Why not? Why the hell not?
Take a cake mix out of a box and all you have is a cake mix. But add water and an egg and stir it and put it in the oven and, bingo, you have a cake! It’s the same with our dreams. We have to take them out, water them with hope and faith and a knowing they will be because they were meant to be. That’s what is meant to happen, otherwise why would the seeds be there in the first place?
Not too long ago I was listening to someone talk and this person said something that stayed with me. It was, “We will never win if we squelch the spirit of our own heart. If you crush a person’ spirit they cannot run. Don’t crush a person’s spirit. Don’t crush your own spirit.”
Allow yourself to dream and to be patient and know that things are yet to come. I think that’s the message you were sending me that day? And then you sent me my daughter, Jody, who ever since I can remember has dreamed of going to the ocean and swimming with the dolphins one day. Now look at the smile on that face. Isn’t that a perfect picture of a dream come true!

Writefully Yours
Annette

Now there's an inspirational post if I ever heard one. You reminded me to believe that my dreams are worth while and that the only way they will come true is for me to belive it and work towards it. Thank you for that Annette. I love the way you say that if we weren't suppose to have these dreams why do they keep popping up agan and again?? They were put there for us to make grow. And your daughter Jody with the dolphins!! Thank you my friend. Your words have inspired me.
love always,
Phillis
Thanks Mom! Your words brought tears to my eyes as it made me remember again how great it was to have one of my dreams come true so recently.
I remember being given an assignment in grade 5 to choose an animal and write a report about it...and of course I choose dolphins. Since that day my love for the animals grew and my dream to one day swim with them developed. And finally on my 30th Birthday that dream came true!
What helped me along the way, to never give up on that dream, was having a wonderful mother like you providing me with such words of wisdom and inspiration as you've just written. Thank you for helping me believe in myself and my dreams. Don't give up on yours.
Love,
Jody
Annette, you have a way of bringing the words, the thoughts, the inspirations to me right when I need a little help from friends. Thank you for these! You are a true gift to the world and I am so lucky and so grateful to have you in mine.
And, Jody! Congratulations on realizing one of your dreams!! You are a beautiful person!
Hugs,
Paula
It's the law of attraction! What ever we are focusing our thoughts and energy into is what will be attracted to us. Anything can be brought into your life this way, nothing is impossible. With the amount of dolphins that fill Jody's home and the desire to be with them - how could it not happen?? That dolphin looks just as happy to have finally met you Jody!
In all the hustle & bustle of last week I missed reading your posts here.
I am a dreamer and believer myself. After all, I journied to your part of the world only last year!
Your Jody is an amazing woman, just like her mom. I felt her love through the words she wrote. mE
